Justice & Activism

We aim to nurture and inspire students to seek Justice & Activism in and beyond school.

Theology Club

There has been a group meeting at Felixstowe School and its predecessor schools for over 50 years to explore faith and belief. This continues today as Theology Club, and is a small friendly group full of questions, discussions and cake!

There are separate groups for the lower and upper school, each meeting weekly. All are welcome.

Student Parliament

Helping students to share their excitement and ideas for improvement is an important aspect of education.

We support the running of a regular Student Parliament to help this process happen.

Period Poverty

It is not fair that young people should have to miss time at school because they don’t have access to the products they need each month. We support and champion a group of students who want to tackle period poverty across the region through an initiative called ‘Proud, Period!’. You can find out more about this project on the school’s website.

Garden Club

Planting, growing and harvesting is the life cycle of Garden Club. Occupying a unique spot on the school site, we’ve created a wildlife pond, raised vegetable beds, a poly tunnel, a grass labyrinth and planted many tree saplings. This is our response to encourage young people to engage in a solution to the climate crisis.

Having achieved Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) School Gardening Awards at Levels 1, 2 and 3, and receiving a ‘Contribution to School Gardening Award’ in 2019, the Garden Club has had a great few years! With thanks to the RHS, Rocket Gardens, The Woodland Trust, Felixstowe Town Council and Friends of Felixstowe School.
