Nature and Nurture Online Training Workshop

£15.00

With the Centre for Chaplaincy in Education, we are delighted to be hosting an online training session for education chaplains interested in starting, continuing or developing work around nature and the environment.

This packed hour-long webinar will explore:

  • the theology behind chaplaincy and the environment,

  • starting, developing and sustaining school gardening and outdoor learning,

  • the benefits of ‘nature connectedness’ to young people, mentally, academically and socially,

  • where to seek funding, resources and support.

The presentations will be led by Josh Hunt, chaplain to Felixstowe School, where over the past 5 years ‘The Garden Project’ has achieved the top award by the RHS School Gardening scheme, engaging over a hundred students every year, and making a tangible difference to young people and the environment.

Date - Friday 29 November
Time - 10am - 11am

This training will take place via Zoom, and meeting details will be shared closer to the time.

Powerpoint slides and resources will be emailed across after the event.
